FIELD TRIAL WINNER
BRECKMARSH BESS OF STRIGIDAE
We had to say a heart breaking good bye to the matriarch of the team in January 2024. A shock loss that affected all that knew this little lady. At nearly 12 years old she was still the best of the team. A story of a lifetime with this little dog being stolen for over a year, came home and has given me some of the most special memories I will ever receive. Not only winning competitions, nine years of demonstrations, peg dog, picking up dog, lap dog and more, but my shadow for so many years, taking this crazy journey with me and life will not be quite the same now you are gone, my heart won’t ever feel full, and the team won’t ever be the same without its ‘Granny T’.
Xx RIP T Dog xX
TIA is an excellent worker with an attitude to succeed. This little lady was my first dog to enter in competition and taught me a lot of what I know today. She is the biggest lap dog at home and a very loyal companion but works with pure fire and fearless in any cover. Tia knows the importance of switch on/switch off, which is a big part of my training.
Tia is extremely special to me as I sadly had her stolen when she was 9 months old for over a year, but thanks to Kent Police and her microchip she made her way home and I am very lucky that our bond was still there. The next year, Tia made me so proud by winning numerous Open Tests and her efforts went straight into trials as in November 2015 we won the Dorset Working Spaniel Club Novice Cocker Trial.
TIA has proved herself in the shooting field also by being a constant leader in the picking up team, sitting on the peg, in the brating line as well as being a star performer at the prestigious C.L.A. Game Fairs from 2015 - 2021. The year of 2021 Tia was back in the arena at 9 1/2 years old and still wowing the crowds handling in complete silence due to now being deaf. She gives her all with everything she does and was very happy to be back in the arena doing what she loves. This would be her fifth year of working in the arena alongside her team mates.
As well as all her achievements, Tia was trained to work alongside falconry from a young age, which was a lovely experience for us both.
Certainly a dog of a lifetime, with teaching me everything I know and more. Tia travelled the UK with me over the years to learn, compete, demonstrate and be a true canine companion.
Tia has proved a wonderful mother, with all pups quickly placed in good homes. We have kept a bitch from Tia's first litter, Fern, and Ginny, from her second litter. Fern has proven to be a fantastic all round shooting dog and Ginny showing signs of being a star in both the trialling, shooting and demonstration worlds!
Tia is tested PRA, AMS and FN Clear.
